4. ‘Living an Ordinary Life’ – stories needed

Penny Lacey writes -

I wonder if you can help me?  I'm writing some teaching material for distance education and I'm looking for examples of people with learning difficulties 'living an ordinary life' or at least trying to live an ordinary life.  I’m interested in stories of very young children and their families, older children, young people and adults – anyone in fact who is trying to do the things that everyone else does but which are often so difficult for people with learning difficulties and their families.  It could be about going shopping, joining the Brownies, having music lessons, buying a house, getting a job, going to a football match, having a swim…..

I envisage the stories being about 500 words long - long enough for a bit of detail but no too long - but if your story is shorter then that’s fine.  My time scale is to collect the examples together by the middle of September.  Please contact me by email to tell me your story.
