The
Dignity of Risk – a practical handbook for professionals working
with disabled children and their families.

From
the back cover –
The
handbook is based mainly on the experience of Shared Care
services and has been written primarily with these services in
mind. It will therefore be particularly useful for providers of
short-break services, in-home care such as sitting services, befriending
schemes, playschemes, weekend leisure services and after-school
clubs. However, much of the policy and guidance is transferable
to other settings and it will be of interest to schools and residential
settings.
