Have
you audited your service?
Is
it family-centred?
Is
it needs-led?
Is
it joined-up?
The following is adapted from the Early Support
website
www.earlysupport.org.uk -
The ‘Early
Support Service audit tool’ helps professionals
review the services they provide and supports them in planning
for development. It is of particular relevance to anybody with
responsibility for strategic planning and the management of change
but anyone working regularly with families will find it helpful.
It encourages practitioners and team leaders to reflect on their
practice and think about how the service they provide might be
improved.
The authors suggest
you look at ‘How to use the service audit tool’
first.
The printed version
is available free
to professionals working in England and can be ordered from the
website
Feedback on the
‘Service audit tool’ is welcomed from professionals
using it and others with an interest. You can either use the feedback
form on the website or post a message on the message board.
