Development worker – Wales

28 hours £16,083

Applications are invited for the post of development worker (Wales) to work with Care Co-ordination Network UK.  CCNUK is an umbrella organisation promoting and supporting key working/care co-ordination for disabled children and their families in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.  CCNUK is a registered charity, with its UK office based in the Social Policy Research Unit at the University of York.

You will have responsibility for promoting key working/care co-ordination within Wales at regional and local levels.  You will do this by maintaining and developing support to Welsh members of CCNUK, working with other voluntary and statutory organisations and by organising events to bring disabled children, young people, parents and practitioners together.

You will need to have experience of working with disabled children and their families and professionals, knowledge and experience of development work, and proven IT skills including word processing, accessing databases, the internet and email. 

The location of the post is negotiable. You will need to be able to travel independently throughout Wales on a regular basis and to visit York occasionally. 

The post is 28 hours per week and is funded by the Welsh Assembly Government until 31 March 2008.  Salary will be £16,083
