Anger
management and conflict resolution

Outline:
A major concern for
those working with children and young people is to find strategies
to help avoid confrontation and manage behaviour. Many pupils
display anger and frustration and do not have the skills to
manage their own behaviour. This course looks at ways to help
understand these pupils and support them.
The
programme will cover:

model for understanding anger;

Ways
of assessing an individual’s style of managing their anger;
·
Skills
that can be taught to children to help them manage their feelings;
·
Setting
up an anger-management group;
·
Practical
strategies for defusing confrontations.
