Tuesday 14th November, 2006 – 9.45
a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
Regent’s College Conference Centre, Regent’s
Park, London, NW1 4NS
This seminar has
presentations by Councils, Primary Care Trusts, Child Development
Centres, etc. who are successfully using Team Around the Child
(TAC) at the heart of their support for children and their families.
These early support services find that TAC –
§
put parents at the
very centre of decision-making
§
fits multi-disciplinary
interventions into a coherent, co-ordinated and seamless system
§
treats the child
as a whole child and integrates separate interventions
§
provides a support
system for the Keyworker or Lead Professional
§
makes work more
satisfying and productive for practitioners
§
provides practitioners
who are unfamiliar with complex needs with a supportive team
Programme:
Four successful TAC
projects are presenting their work at this Seminar. Though each
presentation has some emphasis on a particular aspect of the TAC
approach, delegates will be able to learn about each project in
general terms and will have project contact details for future
reference.
Delegates
will receive the paper ‘Principles and practices that define
the Team-Around-the-Child (TAC) approach’ by Peter Limbrick
when their place is confirmed.
