Challenge one: 88 miles in 4 days! Is this for you?

Disability North provides free information and advice services to disabled people and their families throughout the region.  All sponsorship raised from the walking challenge goes back into the charity. Terry Mallon, Chief Executive Officer, Disability North, will said,

“I’m sure 88 miles in 4 days, over that terrain, will prove tough. We are looking for people who are used to doing long distance walks and who see this as an opportunity to test themselves.”

Challenge two: Golf Day at Hexham

Disability North is holding it’s first Charity Golf Day Event at Hexham Golf Club on Friday 29^th June 2007 and they are looking for enthusiastic participants to take part.  The competition is for fourballs and tee off times will be between 9.30am and 1.30pm and timeslots will be offered on a first come, first served basis.  So, if you fancy a competitive game of golf, along with some great hospitality at a beautiful location, this is the event for you.   For more information on what promises to be a fantastic event, please contact Disability North Events on Tel: 0191 284 0480, Fax: 0191 213 0910, E-mail: events@disabilitynorth.org.uk .

The cost of a fourball is £200.00.  This will include the 18 holes, refreshments at registration and the halfway house and a BBQ meal at the end of the round.  Dianne Cowen, Disability North Events said:
