31. Shropshire County Council - Beacon Peer Support - Open Day

Early Intervention (Children at Risk)

Friday 9th November 2007     10.00 am- 4.00pm

At Albrighton Hall Hotel and Spa, Shrewsbury

Shropshire County Council and City of York Council have recently been awarded a grant to continue the Beacon theme of ‘Early Intervention: Children at Risk’. This reflects the excellent partnership working between the Councils and their partner agencies, and will enable both to offer targeted and innovative support to other authorities who can benefit from this excellent record of partnership working.

Both Shropshire County Council and City of York Council will build the capacity of authorities to engage children, young people and families more fully in service development. It will be through this engagement that these authorities will be able to improve and to develop the early intervention processes and to inform staff development and training strategies.
