A two-day course aiming to give staff an awareness of the rights of people with learning disabilities, and the knowledge, confidence and skills to apply inclusive practice. Addresses the important issues in SRW and gives participants the opportunity to discuss complex areas of work and share useful skills and ideas with each other.Includes sxx and relationships policies, legal aspects and capacity to consent.

Suitable for anyone working with people with mild–moderate learning disabilities who has little experience of SRW and wants an introduction to this area of work.

Accreditation: Staffordshire University (15 credits, level one).
